Dialogue in Motion
Using dialogue from Disney's animated Mulan as an audio framework, I explored how cadence, emphasis, volume and comedic timing could translate into typography and movement.
Rather than treating dialogue as background audio, each phrase became a cue for visual behavior. Scale responds to emphasis, pacing follows pauses and delivery, and composition shifts with the energy of the performance.
Animation Principles
Inspired by the original 9 Squares initiative, this series reimagines the format through the chaos of baking. Each square uses a limited color palette and a different principle of animation to turn simple baking actions into expressive motion.
